I showed Lucas this photo today, since he’s seen the Back To the Future movies now. He immediately recognized it as “Doc Brown’s car” and said he wished he could go inside it. When I told him he couldn’t because the picture was taken a long time ago, he said he wished he could go into the picture so he could go inside the car and also see the other Lucas, just like Marty did!
We ended up concluding that he would just have to invent a time machine…

Nice! I actually saw 3 Deloreans the day you rolled into town last weekend. If I remembered he was such a fan, I would’ve insisted you visit.

3 DeLoreans, just driving around? Or was there a BTTF convention or something?

was a classic car show at the Hermosa Pier. The stainless steel Deloreans, not concerned with rust caused by salt or time travel, had the prime spot closest to the beach.
