Testing Blogsy
April 24th, 2011, 9:06am by MikeI haven’t blogged in a while, for a couple of reasons — mostly because I haven’t had time, but also because I don’t use a Mac every day anymore, and as such, no longer have full-time access to MarsEdit, which was my blogging application.
So I just downloaded Blogsy, a blogging app for the iPad, and figured I’d give it a spin. It’s much better than the other iPad apps that I’ve tried, but still not perfect. In fact, I’m having a weird bug with adding links to text, but the developer has been very responsive and we’re trying to track it down.
One weird thing is that you can’t (yet) upload pictures from the iPad’s photo library direct to your blog, but there’s good Flickr integration, so I can do that — maybe I’ll even start putting some pictures up on Flickr. Here’s are two relatively recent pictures of Adam:

Adam is getting so big! Won’t be long before he’s tweeting 🙂 What were you guys doing in Florida, other than looking for excellent photo ops?

oh, and Blogsy looks awesome, way better than the sorry Word Press app for Android 🙂
BTW, have you gotten EyeFi Direct Mode working with your iPad?

Back at the end of March, we took a long weekend in Fort Lauderdale with two other couples (total of 6 adults, 3 kids) — I’ll put up some more pictures soon, we’re way behind. Adam is running around like crazy — all he wants is to be outside in the (recently) nice weather, on the swings in the park.
Blogsy is pretty good, I think the next update, where you can upload directly from your photo library, will be great. I saw last week that EyeFi rolled out a firmware upgrade for Direct Mode on their X2 cards, haven’t installed it yet. But will be awesome when traveling — on the iPad I already have the SD card reader dongle, but will be really great for moving pics to the iPhone.
