I can imagine the conversation before the party… You’re going to have a big party for me, OK? Everyone is going to buy me a lot of presents, OK? I’m going to eat a lot of cake, OK?

Happy to report that Lucas had lots of fun with family and friends at his birthday. There was a bit of a disaster with his jumphouse when the generator that was powering it in the park blew out and the whole thing deflated. It was pretty ridiculous watching the kids rush out of the jumphouse in a panic! Luckily a neighboring birthday party had a jumphouse they were willing to share, so that satisfied the guests, but the birthday boy himself insisted on waiting for his own jumphouse to be fixed (which never happened). A minor blemish on an otherwise successful party, although that’s probably what Lucas will remember the most :(.
