Not quite shredding (I’m on skis). But having a nice time on the slopes. Weather is amazing!
Updated to add another photo (this one is of our shadow on the ski lift).

Thought about your Tahoe trip while watching snowboardcross in the Olympics tonight — reminded me of shredding Mt Baldy (isn’t that what it was called?). I think it was the out-of-control speed, followed by the collisions and falling down that looked so familiar.

Snowboardcross is totally my favorite event so far! Yes, watching it last night gave me total flashbacks of earlier in the day :). Actually, oddly, I’m hella sore this morning, which is totally reminiscient of our Mt Baldy experience, but I don’t remember ever bein sore after skiing. Feeling my age, I guess.
So the day was fun– spent time with a 5 year old learning to ski for the first time, so I worked on snowplowing backwards :). Also, did some social networking on the mountain, of course (enough that my Pre battery was dead before we got out of the parking lot– grrr).

We just got our youngest, Callie (4 year old), skiing. Margaret was pretty good at skiing backwards and filming at the same time. I’ll have to show you the video sometime. The little ones have no fear, and zip around like they know what they are doing.

Testing… noticed that Al’s comment was set as “pending.” I wonder if Poster automatically requires approval for comments? Testing this while logged out, will re-post as logged in if needed. I think Kelvin has to approve the comment?

Awesome! We were doing our own version of that the same weekend in Central Park on their sledding hill. But judging from Al’s comments, I guess we should be thinking of getting Brandon on some real skis soon.

Here’s a short video of my nephews skiing a couple years ago, when they were 5 and 7.
