Riding back to John Wayne Airport in style. Yes, that’s Lucas’ car seat in a limo.

Does the limo have a LATCH system?

No, I had to do it the old fashioned way, with the shoulder strap. For future reference, Britax’s are easiest to install in strange cars (with or without LATCH), in my experience.

When I picked up Kelvin in Orange County, it took about 10 minutes to get the car seat installed and get everyone settled in. The security guard was staring at me as if he was going to tell me to move for keeping my car in one spot too long. Of course, with a few more attempts now, I’m sure Kelvin is now expert at car seat installation.

Jake’s car does have LATCH, which should make it easy to install, but I had a hard time finding the LATCH bars. But that security guard was going to have a hard time making us move without a properly intalled car seat!

Oh and let me add, I was pretty psyched when Lucas remembered, as proven by his identification of me with Marvin K. Mooney, whose book I read to Lucas about 30 times over New Year’s weekend.

Lucas remembers all you guys– he was as excited as all of us when Auntie Joanie had the baby.
