Woohoo! It worked! Just add +private to your Flickr2blog email address (right before @), and the photo will upload to flickr as private, but post just fine to the board. Basically turns flickr into a image host and doesn’t pollute your flickr stream with images that are for Pyslent eyes only!

Now we can have granular control over who can see photos that are upload from phone– i email directly to flickr if I want anyone to be able to see it (although supposedly only friends and family can see the geotag), I email to flickr2blog+private if I want to post it to Pyslent only, and I use Twitpics if I want only twitter followers to see a pic. There’s also an email address to upload to facebook, but I don’t expect you people to care about that :).
Mike, are you still uploading to flickr2blog if you wanted a photoblog post (hypothetically)? Or is there a blog app compatible with moveable type?

Good stuff. Saw the Twitter part of this on the Flickr’s Twitter page this morning, and Kelvin’s done a little extra testing.

Interestingly, if you decide that you want to release the uploaded masterpiece to your adoring Flickr public later on, you can switch the photo’s privacy setting from “private” without breaking the link that Pyslent uses.

As you pointed out, I haven’t made a photo post in a while, I guess I’d do it this way if I were going to. There’s probably some app for doing this through a current version of Moveable Type, but probably not for this version, which is now about 5 years old! For my WordPress blogs, there’s definitely an app that I use to post, but haven’t ever used the included photo feature.

Are there multiple WordPress Blogs? I only know of WayOut, right?
