Coldplay’s new single

April 30th, 2008, 1:02pm by Kelvin

Coldplay is giving away an mp3 of their new single in advance of their new album’s release next week.  Oddly, they are also playing a free concert at Madison Square Garden on June 23. I signed up for the single and got a link to download it via email. In the spirit of the old Napster, I’m sharing my personal link for any music pirates out there. It’s supposed to expire in 5 hours, so get it now (or at least by 12:51 SF time).

Otherwise, go to coldplay.com and you can get a legit copy yourself by supplying an email address.

Holy Toledo!

I remember times when I thought $15 was a lot for a tank of gas.

Evernote, anyone?

April 24th, 2008, 7:31pm by Kelvin

Have you guys heard of Evernote? Sounds like a way to sync notes, screen caps, web clips, etc from either your phone, pc/mac, or from any browser onto a server in the cloud that can be later accessed from the same clients. Seems cool in a way. You can sign up for the beta anytime today before 9 PM PST (midnight EST). Looks like it will eventually support all pyslent devices, except Palm OS.

Wow, I guess this is what a modern day ad budget buys you these days! I’ve never played Grand Theft Auto, but the buzz around the upcoming launch next week is pretty hard to ignore.
Seen on xbox360fanboy.com
BTW, I just noticed that there’s no “games” category on the Board– we might want to change the “music, movies, tv, etc” category to “entertainment.” After all, as an industry, I would’t be surprised if gaming generates more revenue than music and movies.

Day of the Donut: News & Celebrations Worldwide!

April 19th, 2008, 11:42pm by Jake

We Demand Donuts!
Wow, the Day of the Donut went better than I ever could have imagined. There was a nice turnout at Bob’s in San Francisco, including an appearance by Kelvin when he came by to collect my donut, seen at about 17:20 in this Flickr livecast, and roughly 50-100 people enjoyed free donuts courtesy of the Flickr team. Wired News did a nice round up of the event, wherein I was referred to as a “true patriot” with an HBO miniseries in the work. Check out the video below.

More Donuts

April 16th, 2008, 4:20pm by Mike

I have to say that coming back from a week out of the country, I feel a little behind on the whole donut thing, but as the caption on the Flickr version of my picture says, I just do what I’m told. This was on the way to work this morning.
